Job purpose

This is an intern / co-op position for an Engineering Student in theBattery and Charging Systemsbusiness unit. The candidate will be responsible forworking with the service team totroubleshootbattery systemsand equipment. He/shewilldevelopstandards ofwork includingtrainingplansandtime studiesofservice techniciansandwillbe responsiblefor KeyPerformanceIndicators(KPI) management.

Key responsibilities

• Service and Warranty Management:

• KeyPerformanceIndicators(KPI)management

• Troubleshooting battery system and equipment

• Trackservicesite maintenance

• Trackservicetoolchange requests

• Problem Solving:

• Assist in structuredproblem-solvingprocess (8D) forcustomer returns.

• Support lessons learned read across activity to other plants or regions.

• Coordinate problem solving between engineering and service technician.

• Workshop

• Support the development of a training plan

• Timestudies

• Other duties as assigned by the manager.

• Student working towarda bachelors degree(Electrical EngineeringorElectrical EngineeringTechnicianPreferredbutwill alsoconsider Mechanical or Computer Engineer)

• Willingness to learntools such as 8D 5 whys Quality Alerts to resolve quality issues.

• Excellent drive for results with the ability to coordinate projects from start to completion.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

This position will adhere toGlobalStar Safety Program including safety rules practices and training as outlined in the BorgWarner PTC Safety Policy Manual which includes the use of equipment protective devices or clothing that the employer requires. This individual will work in manners that stress the importance of preventing accidents and illnesses. He/she must take everyprecaution reasonablein the given circumstance for the protection of themselves and addition he/she is responsible for reporting all injuries and/or possible dangerous situations incidents or occurrences to the immediate supervisor.
