Idaho Power located in vibrant Boise Idaho is looking for an Entry Purchasing Agent to join our Corporate Services & Communications team. Its an exciting time to work for Idaho Power. Our work plays a critical role in communities we serve across Idaho and Oregon and were working hard to safely provide our customers with the safe reliable affordable energy they depend on. While this position is based at Idaho Powers downtown Boise location we offer both flexible schedules and the opportunity to work up to 40% remote.

What does an Entry Purchasing Agent do for us

Operates under direction of management and senior procurement personnel. For purchase requisitions assists with spot buys soliciting quotes materials purchase orders software purchases and renewals the development of internal customer requirements and meeting business unit cost objectives with focus on best value to Idaho Power.

  • May be required to work extended hours in the event of large emergencies i.e. fires outages etc.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Bachelors degree

OR

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred:

  • Bachelors degree in business supply chain or related field

  • 3 or more years of related work experience


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires working at a desk/computer for extended periods of time. It requires the use of office equipment fine motor skills including typing on the computer dialing phones filing paper and working in close proximity to other people.
