Job Title: Specialist Software Engineer DevOps

Work Location: Pune India

Your department
The Technology department plays a key role in the continuous development of new products and technologies in order to strengthen our position on the market and differentiate our products.

As a DevOps Engineer you will be working in a multi-disciplinary development team for ADAPTO. This storage and retrieval system is part of Vanderlandes Material handling systems in warehousing and airports.

Vanderlande ADAPTO: position
As a DevOps Engineer you combine software development (Dev) and OT operations (Ops) to enhance the efficiency reliability and speed of software development and deployment processes. A crucial role bridging the gap between development and operations teams ensuring smooth and continuous delivery of software products for ADAPTO

Key Responsibilities:

• Learning and Transition: Work closely with an experienced DevOps Engineer to learn and take over their responsibilities. This includes understanding existing systems processes and best practices.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders including product development teams and corporate technology departments to ensure seamless integration and delivery of services.
• System Management: Maintain and improve our CI/CD pipelines infrastructure and deployment processes.
• Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues related to system performance security and scalability.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our systems and processes.
• Software Management: Ensure the smooth operation and integration of software running on high-end equipment maintaining high standards of performance and reliability.
• Support the transition to full compliance to NIS2 cybersecurity

Qualifications:

• Academic Background: Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field.
• 10 years of experience in software development with a strong automation mindset.
• Proven experience in coordinating software development test and deployment to production environments with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
• Technical Skills: Basic understanding of DevOps practices: Cloud Platforms (AWS Azure GCP) Containerization (Docker Kubernetes) and Scripting Languages (Python Bash).
• Curiosity: A strong desire to learn and grow to a senior level in the field of DevOps.
• Social and Collaborative: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Enthusiast and Passionate: A genuine interest in technology coding and continuous learning.
