About Gas Services Technician!
The Gas Services Technician is responsible for the inspection repair and maintenance of the gas distribution system ensuring compliance with codes and regulations. Key duties include accurate meter readings emergency response leak protection testing and maintaining equipment and vehicles. This role also involves proper installation of underground gas mains and fostering good customer relations. The technician will support production activities maintain records and work in various conditions including adverse weather and remote locations.
Requirements:
- Education & Certification: Minimum Grade 12 diploma Class A Gas Fitter Certification.
- Experience: Prior experience in gas distribution would be an asset particularly in equipment handling and record-keeping. Preference will be given to candidates with relevant skills though we welcome those eager to learn.
- Additional Skills: Ability to work outdoors lift up to 25 kg operate a snow machine and helicopter if needed perform on-call duties and demonstrate safe vehicle operation.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office willingness to complete Gas Technician Training Modules and a Gas Production Operator Course.
This role ensures the safe and efficient operation of the gas distribution system including emergency readiness and response.
