Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in felony and misdemeanor jury trials from arraignment through verdict.
- Prepare and file motions legal briefs and trial documentation with precision and timeliness.
- Conduct negotiations hearings and sentencing advocacy with professionalism and strategic foresight.
- Develop and execute comprehensive defense strategies across a variety of criminal charges.
- Communicate with empathy and clarity guiding clients through complex and high-stakes legal situations.
- Collaborate with paralegals investigators and administrative staff to ensure seamless case progression and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) and an active license to practice in Iowa (or immediate eligibility to obtain).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in criminal defense including jury trials through verdict.
- Strong organizational and case management skills with the ability to work independently.
- Exceptional oral advocacy persuasive writing and polished courtroom presence.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional integrity teamwork and client-centered service.

- Juris Doctor (JD) and an active Iowa license (or immediate eligibility).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in criminal defense with completed jury trials.
