Job Summary
As a Valuation Associate youll assist clients by applying traditional and cutting-edge valuation approaches and methods to a variety of analyses all with the resources environment and support to help you excel. While also utilizing discounted cash flow models trading and acquisition multiples use of derivatives binomial and Monte Carlo simulation models to value businesses assets liabilities and financial instruments such as equity debt and derivatives.
From day one youll be empowered by the greater CFO Advisory team to help clients make the moves that will help them achieve their vision and help you achieve more confidently.
Your day-to-day may include:
- Plan organize conduct manage and oversee projects and services in business valuation analysis industry research and related investigative services
- Supervise train and mentor associates and interns on business valuation and related services and assess performance of staff for engagement reviews
- Perform unbiased business and asset valuations for tangible and intangible assets including equity valuations option analyses and purchase price allocations
- Work closely with partners and staff on client management practice development and business development processes
- Other duties as assigned
You have the following technical skills and qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business or related discipline required
- Minimum 1 year of related work experience in a similar consulting practice or function servicing cross industry clients at a national level with experience in business valuation
- Accounting Finance and Economics knowledge; proficiency in US GAAP and GAAS preferred
- Experience preferred in broad-based business and financial valuations multi-discipline appraisals and fairness opinions especially those of closely held companies
- Knowledge of ASC 805 ASC 350 ASC 718 and ASC 820 preferred
- Excellent analytical research organizational and project management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Audit preparation software
- Can travel as needed. Expected travel is up to 10% annually.
The base salary range for this position in Denver only is between $72000 and $108000.
