SUMMARY:The patient receptionist is responsible for greeting the community upon entrance to the Hospital. Also responsible for answering and routing calls accurately and efficiently being courteous and professional.

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:High School graduate or equivalent preferred.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:Competent with phone systems. Computer literacy

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:Work requires exceptional interpersonal skills to interview and obtain information from patients and interact with other Hospital personnel and outside personnel.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Must have the ability to work in a fast paced and sometimes highly emotional area where the performance and concentration of several tasks may be required. Able to determine priorities.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos. Ability to read and write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers clients and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to add subtracts multiply and divides in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals.
