SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Under the supervision of Family Engagement and Resource Coordinator this position provides coordination and support for programs serving multilingual learners and students experiencing transition (e.g. McKinney Vento). Responsibilities include scheduling and monitoring tutoring services providing curriculum training supporting families with communication and access (including interpretation/translation) assisting district administrators with compliance and site based instructional staff in delivery of services and maintaining accurate records and reports. The role emphasizes strong organization clear communication and collaboration with staff families and community partners to ensure equitable culturally responsive supports that help students thrive academically and socially.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Partner with identified community-based organizations and district programs to provide services to qualifying students for academic and enrichment support.
- Collaborate with the Multilingual Department to support dual-identified students with academic assistance summer programs and language development opportunities.
- Partner with Career Center staff (CTE) to strengthen post-secondary readiness for unaccompanied youth.
- Coordinate with building liaisons (FCRCs Transition Coaches Unaccompanied Youth Coordinators) across district programs.
- Maintain an accurate calendar of all tutoring assignments and make changes to established schedules in a timely manner.
- Provide communication to families via phone email or parent communication application including arranging interpretation and translation support.
- Assist parents and tutors with tutoring-related questions and issues.
- Organize or monitor student pick-up and transportation at school sites.
- Meet with all new tutors and give them an orientation to school site procedures and curriculum training.
- Monitor tutoring activities and student engagement intervene if needed.
- Arrive at tutoring sites at assigned times and depart after all students are picked up.
- Contact parents of students receiving tutoring prior to their scheduled last day to determine continuation.
- Conduct a survey of parents of students in the bilingual tutoring program regarding satisfaction with tutoring.
- Compile information from parent surveys and submit to the Family Engagement and Resource Coordinator.
- Compile attendance records and student achievement data and submit to the Family Engagement and Resource Coordinator.
- Maintain accurate data and reporting for McKinney-Vento requirements while embedding services across programs that support academic and social success.
- Track participation statistics and evaluate the effectiveness of programs.
- Provide customer service follow-up in the EPS Family Welcome Center.
- Communicate effectively with staff families and community members; collaborate with the Heart Liaison for McKinney-Vento and Foster Care in direct support of students and families in transition.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in staff development opportunities appropriate to the position as they become available.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two years of related experience in youth programs or any combination of education and experience.
- Ukrainian or Spanish speaking highly preferred.
- Knowledge of public school organization and operation is helpful.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students staff and parents.
- Demonstrated skills in clear effective oral and written communication.
- Demonstrated ability to assist individuals in stressful situations.
- Demonstrated ability to perform tasks accurately and in accordance with established guidelines to meet compliance obligations.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with district programs including Multilingual programs and early learning programs.
