THE OPPORTUNITY

A Full time position has become available for a Lead Cook based at our Mainfreight Tauranga site. We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic individual as this is a very busy role currently catering for 90 team members daily.

Duties will involve but not limited to:

Menu planning for a team of approx. 100

Food preparation

Serving of meals

Cleaning

Ordering controlling stock and sticking to a budget

Adhoc catering for events

Other day to day tasks as they arise

The hours required are 5:00am to 2:30pm Monday to Friday. There may be times for additional hours through our peak season.

Has a very good understanding of the food safety regulations

**Food handling & safety certification would be advantageous however the right person for the position will be put through a food training certification course if required.
