Job Summary

The Proofreader a member of the Copy Team proofs and edits a wide range of promotional brand and business-related content written for a multicultural and multifaceted audience. The Proofreader ensures that all materials are grammatically correct factually accurate brand-consistent and culturally appropriate.

The Proofreader will work on a variety of assetsfrom TV scripts and print ads to correspondence letters and member handbookshelping to ensure that Healthfirsts voice is clear compelling and consistent across all channels.

Key Responsibilities

Proof and edit marketing materials and business correspondencebrochures flyers ads direct mail radio and TV scripts handbooks guides emails letters and morefor clarity grammar spelling punctuation accuracy and consistency.
Use proprietary content tools to work with legal disclaimers citations signatures compliance language and more.
Ensure content aligns with Healthfirsts brand standards voice style guidelines and reading-level requirements.
Collaborate with marketers designers copywriters editors project managers and health insurance professionals across the enterprise to ensure timely delivery of high-quality content.
Meet deadlines maintain version control and manage feedback implementation in a fast-paced environment.
Cover for other proofreaders as needed.
Support additional copy tasks or quality assurance projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Outlook Excel PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
A minimum of four years of proofreading experience in a marketing communications or creative agency setting.
A strong command of grammar spelling punctuation vocabulary and editorial best practices.
Proficient time-management skills to meet high volumes of work and tight deadlines.
Working knowledge of AP and Chicago styles.
Organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors Degree
Experience proofing content tailored to diverse multicultural audiences and professionals.
Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) or digital project management tools and platforms.
Employment in regulated industries such as health insurance healthcare pharmaceutical or finance.

Hiring Range*:

Greater New York City Area (NY NJ CT residents): $67200 - $97155
All Other Locations (within approved locations): $59800 - $88910

As a candidate for this position your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience education licenses and certifications and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
