Job Summary

Job Description

Duties include but are not limited to: teaching design/technical theatre classes theatre appreciation makeup advanced makeup basic sewing for stagecraft class supervision of the shop manager and work-study students as well as designing costumes and mentoring student designers for departmental productions.

Required Qualifications

Terminal degree/MFA in Costume Design or an MFA in Design with an emphasis on Costume Design. Proven experience in undergraduate teaching costume construction including period construction makeup wig/hair and wardrobe.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference is given to candidates with additional expertise in other areas of theatre/entertainment design; experience in mentoring student designers is desired; and/or knowledge of online course delivery is desired.
