Job Summary
Title: Security Guard
Location: Kennewick WA
Pay Rate: $17-19/hr
Schedule: Part-time up to 30 hrs per week
We are seeking a dedicated Overnight Security Guard to join our team and ensure the protection and safety of our construction site and apartment community. Your primary responsibility will be to prevent unauthorized access vandalism theft and other security breaches. Your watchful presence and proactive approach will help maintain a secure environment for workers contractors and the construction site itself.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a visible and vigilant presence at the construction site to deter criminal activities and enforce site security policies.
- Monitor and control access to the construction site allowing only authorized personnel to enter the premises.
- Conduct regular patrols to identify potential security risks and safety hazards.
- Respond promptly to security alarms incidents or emergencies and take appropriate actions.
- Report any security breaches suspicious activities or safety concerns to the Supervisor and appropriate authorities.
- Maintain accurate and detailed logs of daily activities incidents and observations.
- Prepare written reports on security-related incidents including damages theft or unauthorized access.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols at the construction site.
- Report any safety violations or concerns to the Construction Site Manager.
- Act as the first responder in the event of emergencies such as fires medical incidents or accidents.
- Coordinate with emergency services such as police fire and medical personnel as necessary.
- Implement emergency response procedures to safeguard the well-being of individuals on the construction site.
- Verify identification and credentials of workers contractors and visitors entering the construction site.
- Ensure that all access points gates and barriers are secured and functional.
- Provide prompt responses to residents calls and address their concerns.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in security-related roles is preferred but not required.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and act decisively in emergency situations.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols is a plus.
