Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager STAT / GAAP & IFRS Reporting (RTR-Finance Control & Governance)

Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Consolidation Prepare financial statements under US GAAP IFRS and Local Statutory (STAT) bases for insurance entities across global jurisdictions
Regional Regulatory Submissions Manage periodic submissions to local financial authorities and regulators in UK US Bermuda Europe Canada and Latin America ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Accounting & Adjustments Perform complex accounting adjustments including deferred acquisition costs reserves investments and reinsurance to align with respective reporting frameworks
Group & Entity-Level Reporting Support group consolidation intercompany eliminations and variance analysis across multiple reporting bases and legal entities
Audit & Compliance Support Liaise with internal/external auditors ensuring compliance with global accounting policies and maintaining robust documentation and control frameworks
Stakeholder Collaboration Partner with controllership actuarial and FP&A teams to reconcile data validate results and ensure alignment across statutory and management reporting
Continuous Improvement & Governance Drive process optimization automation and governance initiatives to strengthen accuracy efficiency and consistency in multi-GAAP reporting


Minimum Qualifications:
Commerce Graduate / Postgraduate
Relevant years of experience in managing F&A External Reporting processes
Experience in working with an insurance client will be an added advantage

Preferred Skill Set:
Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures
Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Experience with accounting software like Oracle Blackline etc.
Computer literacy MS Excel in particular (familiarity with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)
Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly and succinctly articulate issues to senior management
Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
Self-starter with ability to work under own initiative
Strong time management skills
Integrity with an ability to handle confidential information
