Come join the team thats Changing Whats Possible at MUSC Health East located in the heart of Mt. Pleasant at 1600 Midtown Avenue. We are a large outpatient clinic with over 20 different specialties. Enjoy a routine daytime schedule with no evenings weekends or holidays and free parking on site. This position is located primarily in our Infusion area with both oncology and non-oncology infusions. Our team of Registered Nurses work four 9-hour shifts per week (8:00am 5:30pm) and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to make a difference in the lives of our patients.

Job Description

Provides professional nursing care to assigned patients in need of intravenous treatment. Administers intravenous therapeutic treatments as directed by a physician. Determines appropriate venipuncture and/or catheter site. Observes patients IV treatment and records observations in patient medical records. Provides information to patients and families regarding intravenous treatment and procedures.

Additional Job Description

Required Minimum Training and Education:Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or Nursing License Compact. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Required Licensure Certifications Registrations:Current South Carolina RN License or multi-state Nursing License Compact and BLS required. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.

Physical Requirements: Continuous requirements are to perform job functions while standing walking and sitting. Ability to bend at the waist kneel climb stairs reach in all directions fully use both hands and legs possess good finger dexterity perform repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows and shoulders reach in all directions. Ability to be qualified physically for respirator use initially and as required. Maintain 20/40 vision corrected see and recognize objects close at hand and at a distance work in a latex safe environment and work indoors. Frequently lift lower push and pull and/or carry objects weighing 50 lbs (/-) unassisted exert up to 50 lbs of force lift from 36 to overhead 25 lbs. Infrequently work in dusty areas and confined/cramped spaces.
