Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech Vishay Yankton SD is currently seeking a full-timeQuality Engineerresponsible for under supervision develops evaluates revises and applies technical quality assuranceprotocols/methods to inspect and test in-process raw materials productionequipmentand finished products. Ensures activities and items are in compliance with both company quality assurance standards and applicable government regulations. Performs analysis and identifies trends in the inspection of finished products in-process materials and bulk raw materials and recommends corrective actions when necessary.

Job Location:

This position is located on-site Yankton SD. We are situated in Southeast South Dakota: on the banks of the Missouri River and minutes from Lewis and Clark Lake where you can enjoy a variety of outdoor recreational activities.

What you will be doing:

• Under supervision responsible for definition and specification of quality criteria test equipment and methods and inspection requirements.
• Maintains liaison between departments typically--Engineering Inspection and Production to coordinate product quality and process efficiency.
• Develops product and process performance measurements including generating monthly quality reports for management review performing trend analysis of quality data generating special quality reports for customers.
• Handles/reviews corrective actions determines responsibility and assigns for completion.
• Assist in ISO9001 IATF16949 ISO13485 and AS9100 Audits.
• Reviews procurement documents for adequate delineation of quality requirements to vendors through Purchasing and for adequate Receiving Inspection instructions.
• Seeks out areas of refinement of materials and methods for cost reduction and quality improvement.
• Assists with quality surveys by customer or government teams requiring an intimate knowledge of existing quality systems and the ability to describe applications in terms of various customer specifications.

What you will bring along:

• 1 - 3 years experience with knowledge of quality specifications such as ISO-9001 IAFT16949 etc.
• Bachelors degree in related discipline.
• Excellent communication skills necessary (verbal written)
• May occasionally travel to customers to resolve quality issues and to other Vishay facilities to assist in internal audits and to develop standardized procedures.
