THE RENFREW COUNTY DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD
requires a
FOREPERSON - MECHANICAL/ELECTRICAL
LOCATION: Pembroke Plant with frequent travel throughout the CountyHOURS OF WORK: 40 hours/week - 12 months/year
RATE OF PAY & BENEFITS: Group 12 - $37.62 - $38.50/hr (inclusive of a $3.54/hr market adjustment allowance)
SUMMARY: REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Possess supervisory ability proven leadership and interpersonal skills and exemplary work ethic. Specifically has experience in the supervision of people and work related to building construction and renovation and in the maintenance of buildings and equipment. Possess good oral and written communication skills and has the ability to deal professionally with school and board personnel and with suppliers and contractors. Proven ability to correct problems manage workflow meet deadlines maintain proper records and comply with legislative and management directives. Ability to prepare written reports and other correspondence using applicable computer software including E-Base Maintenance Management Software Program Excel Word and e-mail.
Knowledge of the following is required: Board Policy and Procedures Building Code Fire Code Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations Codes for electrical mechanical & plumbing. Applicants must hold a valid Class G drivers license.
Hiring will follow the requirements outlined in the CUPE 1247 Collective Agreement and the RCDSB Administrative Procedures. Members of the bargaining unit will be given first consideration. The Board reserves the right not to fill a position.
