Job Summary
A thriving and creative 1118 school in Reading is seeking a passionate Art Teacher to join their successful Visual Arts Department from January 2026. This full-time permanent role offers the chance to teach in an inspiring and supportive environment that promotes both artistic freedom and academic rigour.
The successful candidate will teach Art & Design across KS3KS5 guiding students in painting drawing ceramics printmaking and digital design. You will support GCSE and A-Level students in developing sophisticated portfolios while encouraging individuality and experimentation in visual expression. The department has a rich tradition of hosting exhibitions gallery partnerships and national art competitions all of which you will have the opportunity to contribute to.
The Art Department occupies spacious naturally lit studios digital design suites and specialist workspaces for ceramics and photography. The school values the arts as an integral part of a balanced education and is deeply committed to nurturing creativity reflection and confidence in its students.

Experience and Qualifications:
QTS/PGCE and degree in Art & Design or Fine Art
Proven experience teaching GCSE and A-Level desirable
Strong creative and technical skillset
Passion for student development through visual and creative education
