Job Summary
A vibrant and creative independent school in Bristol is seeking an exceptional Music Teacher to join its Performing Arts Faculty from January 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to teach in a forward-thinking department that celebrates musical excellence and nurtures creativity across all key stages.
The Role:
Teach Music across KS3KS5 delivering engaging and inclusive lessons in performance composition and theory.
Inspire students to develop confidence creativity and a lifelong love of music.
Contribute to a thriving co-curricular programme including:
Choirs orchestras and chamber ensembles
Large-scale musical theatre and concert performances
Collaborative arts projects with Drama and Dance departments
Support and mentor students preparing for GCSE and A-Level Music.
Take part in whole-school events and performances that showcase student talent.
Department & Facilities:
Outstanding rehearsal rooms recording studios and a purpose-built theatre.
Strong collaboration between Music Drama and Dance promoting creative cross-disciplinary learning.

Experience and Qualifications:
QTS/PGCE and a degree in Music or related discipline.
Proven experience teaching GCSE and/or A-Level Music.
Strong performance and instrumental skills ideally with ensemble leadership experience.
Excellent understanding of composition theory and digital music production.
Passion for fostering creativity confidence and excellence in young musicians.
