This position oversees daily operations within a surgical unit ensuring the delivery of high-quality efficient patient care. The role involves supervising staff coordinating schedules supporting professional development and fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

Key responsibilities

Supervise daily activities in the surgical unit with a focus on quality and cost-effective care
Prioritize and delegate workflow to ensure appropriate staff coverage
Reassign patient care responsibilities based on continuity and skill level
Coordinate scheduling and maintain adequate staffing levels
Organize orientation and training for new team members
Support continuing education and specialized training programs for staff
Collaborate with leadership to address complex operational issues
Provide coaching guidance and immediate feedback to nursing staff

Schedule

Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
No weekends or holidays

Qualifications
Required

Bachelors degree or higher in Nursing
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa
Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) credential
Minimum of 3 years of Operating Room (OR) experience
Fluency in English
