About the jobAdvantra is partnering with a early-stage productivity software startup in San Francisco to hire a Machine Learning Engineer to build and optimize ML systems for their voice dictation app.
About the roleYou will build and maintain ML models that power a voice dictation app. You will ensure models are accurate reliable and performant. You will work with the founding team to design ML solutions that meet user needs and improve the product.
Responsibilities-
Build and optimize ML infrastructure and pipelines.

Develop train and fine-tune ML models for voice dictation.

Ensure model performance accuracy and reliability.

Debug and optimize ML models for latency and efficiency.
-
Work with designers and engineers to integrate ML solutions.
-
Talk to users to understand needs and improve models.
-
Stay current on ML frameworks tools and best practices.
-
Contribute to product and ML platform design decisions.

Address challenges like context-awareness personalization and hallucinations in models.

2 years experience with Python and ML frameworks.

Experience building and deploying ML models in production.

Contributed to at least one open-source ML project or published ML research.

Experience with reinforcement learning and preference optimization (e.g. DPO).

Proven ability to optimize models for latency accuracy and reliability.

High attention to detail and willingness to learn.

Experience incorporating user feedback into ML models.

Strong understanding of ML principles and algorithms.

Experience working in a fast-paced ambiguous startup environment.

Portfolio or links to ML projects demonstrating ownership.

Experience with voice or AI-powered applications.

Experience at a fast-growing startup.

Experience with real-time or multimodal ML products.

Familiarity with model profiling and optimization tools.

Knowledge of ML personalization and context-awareness techniques.
