Job Description:

Summary:

The Internal Auditor position offers the chance to join the Western Hemisphere Audit team of the client a global technology company driving energy innovation for a balanced planet.
Together we create amazing technology that unlocks access to energy for the benefit of all.
The Internal Auditor role is pivotal in evaluating the companys financial and operational processes to ensure compliance identify risks and recommend improvements.
They are responsible for improving the companys operations by conducting assurance and advisory engagements by using a variety of procedures to test the design adequacy and operating effectiveness of controls.

Responsibilities

Planning organizing and eventually leading various audit engagements for the client businesses worldwide.
Examine the companys financial records accounting practices and business operations to identify potential risks and inefficiencies.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws regulations and company policies.
Analyze risk management processes identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Collaborate with management to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote transparency and accountability.
Participate in special projects due diligence reviews post-acquisition reviews and investigations as required.
Attend seminars and training courses; stay current on job-related technology.
Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity legality and goal achievement.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in accounting/finance.
Masters or certifications (CPA/CIA/ACCA) preferred
4-8 yrs experience in an external audit firm. Big4 experience preferred
Ability to travel up to 2 weeks at a time & around 6 trips a year

The position is a stepping stone into the clients Finance team & is considered a fast-tracked finance management development program.
After 2-3 years in internal audit learning company operations internal auditors are promoted into finance roles across the globe.
