Job Summary

Cloud Software Engineer (AWS CDK Python)

Role: Mid level software engineer

Location: Ideally Hybrid in Des Moines open to fully remote

Contract Length: 6 months to start

Please describe the project work and what do day-to-day responsibilities look like:

We are working daily on shoring up a critical application called GoAnywhere to prepare for onboarding 4000-5000 new file transfer connections. A lot of team collaboration and mobbing/pairing. Agile ceremonies like sprint planning refinement daily huddles retros etc.

* Understand complex technical concepts and translate them into solutions that are understandable and engaging.

* Work directly with a product owner/delivery manager stakeholders other IS Teams and vendor partners to optimize existing solutions

* Be part of a dynamic cross-functional team of talented individuals who continuously seek improvement through cloud solutions automation and more.

* Provide informal leadership. Exchange learnings with other software engineers.

What technologies or systems will this contingent worker be utilizing

We have hosted GoAnywhere in our AWS account so theyd be working on IaC in AWS CDK utilizing python Github EC2 S3 CloudWatch think AWS fundamentals. Having actual software engineering background is a must. Background with any of these is a plus: FileGateway (managed file transfer) Cleo (managed file transfer) TWS (workload scheduling tool) ServiceNow Citizen development.
