This position at $18/ hr.
Shift will be 8-5 Monday-Friday with an hour lunch break.

Remote or WFH option is available but must be within driving distance to the Columbia SC office as they may have to go onsite once a month and to initially pick up equipment.

ATTN: Seeking candidates to work full time in the Analysis department of our Utility Bill Management organization. This position can include the potential to advance to a tenured position (temp-hire) based on available openings employee performance and manager observations.

SCHEDULE: 8AM 5PM shift; 5 day workweek with Saturday and Sunday off

PRE-SCREENING: To be considered for an interview candidates MUST have the attached analyst assessment submitted with their resume and should include all scratch paper showing work with 3 of 4 questions answered correctly.

Job Description

Summary
Overall this position requires routine detailed work that follows an established system of operation with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency within the Analysis Department.

Pre-Training Requirements
New hires for Analysis positions are required to complete 2 short pre-training courses provided by client immediately upon hire in order to advance to their designated roles for specific task training. Both courses conclude with a final test which must be passed in order to remain on assignment with us. All pre-training hours are paid.

Bill Knowledge Training (UBK) 2 day foundation course on utilities industry & client specific processes and terminology

Training 1 week course that goes into greater detail of the utilities industry. The class provides a better understanding of terminology rates tariffs and units of measure.

Tasks:
Review all system generated errors based on data entry standards. Maintain an average of 3 minutes per error resolution.
Investigate historical and live vendor billing errors and obtain refunds where appropriate. Maintain an average of 15 minutes per issue for the research and resolution.
Identify and correct data entry errors in a timely manner to ensure inclusion of information on client payment files
Research and resolve problem bills per established processes and turn-around times.
Build and maintain vendor specific processing templates
Build and maintain spreadsheets used to manually divide account into multiple parts based on client specifications.
Participate in the continual reevaluation of current processes and offer suggestions to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of each process.
Complete assigned tasks based on standard operating procedures and established key performance indicators
Other duties as assigned

Select appropriate processes from clearly documented rules past practices or new instructions
Seek advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from senior department members.
Refer complex unusual problems to senior department members

Skills Required:
Successful completion of UBK training
Successful completion of Analysis training
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to research and problem solve issues effectively
Detail oriented
Efficient multi-tasker with excellent time management skills
Strong organizational skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Experience
Entry level skillset with up to 2 years of successful experience in a similar role generally comparable with the tasks and responsibilities as presented above.

Education
HS diploma or equivalent is required.

Spotlight Call Notes:

Temp to hire position provide candidate with all tools needed to succeed.
A passing score of 3/4 is required. The assessment is attached to the JP and has 3 different rates that are required to complete the assessment (part A B C).

Utility Knowledge course must be passed post hire. Its a 2 day training course. A practice test is also available.

No requirement for utility based knowledge but its a plus.
Strong math and excel background is preferred but not required.
Ideal candidate can come from any background but with skills that can be transferable.
Strong critical thinking pattern recognition and phone skills preferred.
Must be self-driven and be able to manage own time.


Questions:
Does the candidate have to be local We rotate into the office every 4th Wednesday for in-person team meeting.
For the training is it via remote or 1:1 basis It is all done online with an instructor that is available for the 2 day course. Once test is passed they move onto the analysis class with HM and runs 4-6 days. Consists of reading a manual work through problems complete practice problems and review each module.
Will a higher pay rate be considered For candidates with relevant prior experience (utilities accounts-payable etc) yes.
Will freshly graduate candidates be considered Yes; the average tenure of the department is 7 years and for several this was their first full-time job after graduating.
