Job Description

A proudly South African manufacturing group with a 20-year legacy of quality craftsmanship and growth is looking for a hands-on people-centered Chief Financial Officer to join their executive leadership team.

Youll play a pivotal role in steering financial strategy strengthening controls and developing a capable finance team within a privately owned multi-entity business thats evolving into its next phase of expansion and cultural transformation.

The Opportunity

As CFO youll partner closely with the CEO COO and EXCO to lead all aspects of financial management reporting and governance. Youll provide strategic direction while remaining deeply engaged in day-to-day operations bringing insight rigor and strong people leadership to a finance function of around ten staff. This is a broad and influential role suited to someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial fast-paced manufacturing environment and values long-term stability team development and impact.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the full finance function across several entities driving accuracy transparency and accountability
Oversee budgeting forecasting cash flow and management reporting to support sound business decisions
Strengthen internal controls systems and risk frameworks across manufacturing and distribution operations
Partner with EXCO and operational teams to interpret financial data and drive performance improvement
Ensure full compliance with IFRS Companies Act and statutory audit requirements
Oversee stock management costing and margin analysis within a high-volume production environment
Mentor guide and develop the finance team fostering a culture of ownership trust and collaboration
Support business change initiatives including ERP optimisation

What Youll Bring

CA(SA) / CIMA or MBA or any other relevant qualification
810 years post-qualification experience in manufacturing production or related sectors
Strong leadership record with proven success managing and developing teams
Experience in privately owned multi-entity environments
Hands-on operational finance skills particularly in costing stock and working capital management
Sound understanding of governance compliance and audit principles
Balanced communicator with the confidence to influence at both EXCO and factory-floor level
Strategic yet approachable pragmatic and collaborative in style
