We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to oversee the maintenance safety and operational efficiency of our hospitals engineering services and infrastructure.
Duties & Responsibilities
As the Hospital Engineering Manager you will be responsible for managing the hospitals engineering department ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations overseeing planned and reactive maintenance and supporting capital projects. You will lead a team of Engineers and Technicians and liaise with clinical and non-clinical departments to ensure a safe functional and compliant environment for patients staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the hospitals engineering and maintenance team.
- Develop and implement planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules.
- Oversee reactive maintenance and emergency repairs.
- Support infrastructure projects refurbishments and equipment installations.
- Manage engineering budgets and the procurement of maintenance services and supplies.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the department.
- Ensure that all engineering systems operate efficiently reliably and safely.
Requirements:
- Degree or Higher National Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical Electrical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a senior engineering role within a healthcare or similar critical environment.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation compliance standards and risk management.
- Excellent leadership communication and organizational skills.
- Experience managing budgets and external contractors.
