Job Summary

Head Chef / Sous Chef Luxury Safari Lodge North West

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef or Sous Chef to join a luxury safari lodge in the North West. This role is ideal for a culinary professional with a passion for creating exceptional dining experiences in a high-end hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the kitchen team ensuring efficient operations and high-quality food preparation.

  • Plan prepare and present menus in line with lodge standards and guest expectations.

  • Maintain consistent quality presentation and portion control for all dishes served.

  • Ensure adherence to health safety and hygiene standards within the kitchen.

  • Manage kitchen inventory stock control and supplier relationships.

  • Train and mentor kitchen staff fostering a positive and productive working environment.

  • Collaborate with lodge management to maintain operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.

  • Innovate and develop new menu items that reflect the lodges luxury positioning and seasonal availability.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a luxury lodge hotel or high-end restaurant.

  • Strong leadership organisational and team management skills.

  • Exceptional culinary skills with attention to detail and presentation.

  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen best practices.

  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays.

  • Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Salary: R12000 R28000 per month negotiable depending on experience.
