Job Summary

We are currently taking resumes/applications for an EXPERIENCED Pile-DriverOperatorfortheThibodaux LAand surroundingarea. Duties/Responsibilitiesmay/may not be limited tothe following:

Job Scope:
- Operate cranesmounted on skids barges crawler treads or locomotive cranes to drive pilings for retaining walls bulkheads and foundations of structures such as buildings bridges and piers.
Duration of Job:Temp to Hire
- Based on Job Performance
Position Requirements:
- MUST HAVE VALID LICENSE
- High school diploma or GED equivalentis required.
- MUSTbe able to pass physical
- MUSTbe able to pass DISA drug screen
- MUSTbe able to pass background check
- MUST be able to provide own PPE (Hard hat steel toe boots safety glasses & gloves)
- MUST have reliable transportation
Required Skills:
- Ability to efficientlymove hand and foot levers of hoisting equipment to position piling leads hoist piling into leads and position hammers over pilings.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination focus and dedication to following safety protocols
  - Must be able to judge spaces correctly & handle many controls at the same time
- Proficient in oral and written communication skills.
- Alertness
- Attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions closely
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible to drive the setting for a building foundation bridge or pier into the ground
- Controls the machine from the cab by using pedals & levers
- Move levers and turn valves to activate power hammers or to raise and lower drop hammers that drive piles to required depths.
- Drive pilings to provide support for buildings or other structures using heavy equipment with a pile driver head.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Maintain visual and radio contact with ground operators according to best practices and site safety regulations and respond to questions and instructions clearly and quickly
- Inspect machines and equipment daily perform routine maintenance procedures and minor repairs as required and initiate additional repair requests from mechanics when necessary
  - Clean lubricate and refill equipment.
  - Performing routine crane maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating
- Mange house keeping activities when requested.
  - Maintain the work area clean safe and organized.
  - Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities
  - Cleanup work area and equipment after work is completed.
- Execute daily work instructions received from Supervisor in a timely manner.
- Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards.
  - Practicesafety procedures in accordance with training and guidelines when working.
  - Comply with company policies and legal guidelines helping to maintain a safe and orderly work environment
  - Meet quality and performance requirements as outlined by quality assurance and production standards
  - Report safety hazards quality and production issues to management immediately
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 LBS
- Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods
- Handle and manipulate objects on a repetitive basis
- Ability to see well and distinguish between back up alarms voices and other normal sounds consistent with construction job sites.
- Excellent physical strength & stamina
- Must be able to stand bend stoop squat or kneel regularly as well as climb stairs and ladders to complete tasks
- Ability to work in varying hot and cold environments
  - Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions
  - Ability to work in an environments with exposures to dust dirt and various other debris metal and paint fumes gases
  - While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to high precarious places and outside weather conditions
  - The employee is occasionally exposed to loud noisefumes and/or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock

- Monday - Friday (Weekends as Needed)
