2nd Level – Application Engineer (all genders)

Your Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues remotely
• Provide active remote support in customer projects
• Perform configuration changes and software deployments
• Conduct service validation testing and follow-up on delivery incidents
• Proactively update documentation process descriptions and technical records
• Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and reliability
• Handle technical escalations and support P1 incident cases including team representation when required

Your Profile:

• Degree in Computer Science Information Technology Telematics or a related field
• Around 5 years of experience in IT solutions or a similar technical environment
• Strong knowledge of scripting databases and both Windows and Linux operating systems
• Solid understanding of IT infrastructure and networking concepts
• Experience with ITSM/ALM tools (e.g. Cherwell Jira Confluence Git Azure)
• Hands-on solution-oriented mindset with strong analytical and communication skills
• Curious and eager to understand how complex systems fit together
• Enjoys documentation knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); German language skills would be an advantage
• A strong team player with a proactive and collaborative attitude
• Willingness to occasionally travel and take on hands-on tasks
