The City of Marysville is a full-service city serving a population of 76209 across 20 square miles with a 2025 budget of $213 million and a team of 389 FTEs. Departments include Executive Legal HR Finance Information & Geographic Systems Engineering Services Community Development Police Department Marysville Municipal Court Utilities & Maintenance Services and Parks Culture & Recreation.

THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
Reporting to the City Administrator the Community Development Director is responsible for the overall vision and direction of the Community Development Department. This includes strategic and administrative oversight of activities and programs including planning land development construction inspection electrical inspection permitting and licensing civil development review commute trip reduction (CTR) and community development block grant (CDBG). The Director serves as the Citys SEPA Responsible Official and Shoreline Administrator.
