What Will You Do Ka aha koe

  • Provide leadership and management for the Property and Fleet team building a positive team culture that encourages high performance and professional growth
  • Oversee the safe operation maintenance and ongoing improvement of Council buildings parks and reserves public amenities vehicle fleet and community spaces
  • Manage contractor performance and develop effective working relationships with suppliers user groups iwi leaseholders and key stakeholders
  • Deliver technical advice and solutions for facility fleet and property issues ensuring assets are fit-for-purpose accessible and well-maintained
  • Support and guide asset renewal planning minor capital works and asset data collection for informed decision-making and future readiness
  • Take responsibility for internal and external budgets with clear reporting and stewardship of public resources
  • Ensure absolute compliance with Health and Safety legislation and Council policies for staff facilities contractors and users

Who Are You Ko wai koe

  • Hold a relevant tertiary or trade qualification in property facilities asset management business project management or similar with at least five years relevant experience
  • Have a proven track record in team leadership property or park facilities management
  • Bring strengths in contract management community and stakeholder relationship-building and customer service
  • Have sound financial skills technology aptitude and the ability to manage data projects and reporting systems efficiently
  • Knowledge of the public sector compliance obligations and local authority environments is highly valued
  • Hold a full NZ drivers licence
