Job Summary

3 months contract with local authority

This role is pivotal in enhancing participation in the Authoritys recycling service and minimizing recycling contamination. By directly engaging with residents and businesses the position aims to foster effective recycling practices and reduce waste. The focus is on conducting property surveys door-to-door visits and educational campaigns to improve the quality of household recycling.

Responsibilities:

Conduct surveys and assessments of residential properties to evaluate current recycling behaviors and identify participation barriers.
Engage with residents through door-to-door visits community events and roadshows to promote food and packaging recycling as well as general waste reduction.
Provide tailored advice and practical information to residents on the proper use of recycling services.
Monitor participation levels gather resident feedback and identify areas needing further intervention or targeted campaigns.
Assist in distributing leaflets and other materials to encourage correct recycling practices.
Support communication campaigns and social media content by contributing local insights and examples.
Maintain accurate records of visits surveys engagement activities and resident feedback.
Collaborate with other teams such as collections communications and enforcement to address local recycling challenges.
Perform other duties as required commensurate with the grade.

Required Skills:

Requirements: Proven experience in conducting tree surveys Certification as an arborist In-depth knowledge of arboriculture practices and standards
