The Medical Records Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that WelbeHealth maintains a single complete accurate and comprehensive medical record for each participant in accordance with accepted professional standards. The Medical Records Coordinator will also be the subject matter expert (SME) on the WelbeHealth Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system supporting effective and compliant use of the EMR by staff. The Medical Records Coordinator also supports the Center Director with the planning and follow up of the IDT meetings.
Essential Job Duties:
- Oversee the process of obtaining receiving and transferring participants medical records to and from providers outside of WelbeHealth assuring that proper medical release forms are complete and scanning any paper documents into the electronic medical records.
- Monitor participant medical records for complete and timely documentation and promptly report to the Center Director when WelbeHealth medical records policies and procedures are not being followed.
- Follow and enforce all WelbeHealth HIPAA policies and procedures to ensure the privacy and confidentiality of all participant information is maintained.
- Ensure that participant medical record is retained for a minimum required period of time as outlined in WelbeHealth policies and procedures.
- Conduct medical records audits as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalency.
- 2-year degree program in Medical Assistance Accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
- Minimum of two years experience as a Medical Records Coordinator in a skilled nursing facility physician office or medical clinic.
- Minimum of two years experience working with Electronic Medical Records.
- Ability to follow directions from supervisor and communicate needs effectively.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Salary/Wage base range for this role is $21.07 - $27.81 hourly Bonus Equity. WelbeHealth offers competitive total rewards package that includes 401k match healthcare coverage and a broad range of other benefits. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other qualifications.
