AIG underwriting teams help to find insurance solutions in areas including Financial Lines Property Casualty Specialty Lines Cyber Multinational Clients and High Net Worth individuals.   • Manage and service an existing renewal book of commercial Financial Lines insurance products in addition to generating new accounts from brokers within Western Canada
  • Evaluate and underwrite management liability risks by conducting detailed analysis of financial statements industry trends portfolio benchmarking and other relevant data to assess exposure
  • Review negotiate and issue policies that comply with regulatory and company standards. Draft and amend coverage to meet the needs of our clients
  • Monitor market trends new developments and competitor offerings in management liability
  • Achieve assigned budget targets and maintain profitability
  • Collaborate with team members to share insights improve underwriting processes and achieve team objectives

What youll need to succeed

  • A post-secondary degree ideally in business with a focus on finance or accounting or a combination of relevant industry education and experience
  • Exceptional ability to communicate clearly build relationships and collaborate effectively with team members and external partners
  • Proven ability to work independently managing tasks and meeting deadlines while also contributing effectively within a team environment
  • Strong skills in analyzing data assessing risks and making informed decisions
  • Solid understanding of computer systems and applications particularly in using spreadsheets and other data management tools
  • Previous experience in Financial Lines underwriting is an asset but not mandatory - enthusiasm for learning is key
