ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

THE ROLE

The Utilities Intern will assist in the preparation and review of engineering plans specifications and cost estimates for utility infrastructure projects. They will also collaborate with engineers inspectors and contractors on utility-related projects and perform basic engineering calculations and assist with data collection and analysis.

Pay Considerations
The hourly pay for this position is $15 - $19 (based on education level).

Work Schedule
This position is scheduled to work up to 25 hours weekly between Monday and Thursday 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.

This Internship will be January 2026 - May 2026

Part-Time/Temporary Position

This position is a part time/temporary position and does not include health or medical benefits.
Hours for this position will not exceed 935 per calendar year (see weekly hours for this position under work schedule).

IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate would have familiarity with engineering software strong written and verbal communication skills and exposure to construction management or capital improvement projects.

Fluency in Spanish or another language is desired.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Current enrollment in any of the following degree programs: Civil Engineering Construction Management Construction Engineering or a related field from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution
Current enrollment with a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester (undergraduate level) or 3 credit hours per semester (graduate level)
Recent College graduates encouraged to apply
Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
A valid Nevada drivers license
