At MOKA were all about exceptional coffee and authentic customer connections. We pride ourselves on serving high-quality espresso and coffee drinks with fast friendly serviceand were looking for someone who shares that commitment to excellence.
About the Role
As a General Manager you will oversee daily store operations lead a high-performing team and ensure every customer receives a consistent outstanding experience. Youll play a critical role in maintaining MOKAs quality standards culture and operational success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate your team to deliver excellent customer service
- Hire train and retain top talent
- Provide ongoing coaching and development to team members
- Oversee drink quality consistency and service speed
- Create and manage team schedules based on business needs
- Monitor and control labor and cost of goods (COGS)
- Foster a positive team-oriented work environment
- Uphold MOKAs policies procedures and brand standards
- Maintain compliance with local health department regulations
- Manage daily reporting inventory and administrative tasks
- Support store operations during opening closing or weekend shifts as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience ideally in food beverage or coffee service
- At least 2 years of experience in a food and beverage environment
- Strong understanding of financial performance metrics including labor management and COGS
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to delegate effectively and coach team members constructively
- Positive attitude and solution-oriented mindset
- Commitment to fostering a team-first culture
- Comfortable receiving feedback and coaching for continuous improvement
- Familiarity with cash handling equipment maintenance and food safety procedures
Position Details
- Full-time salaried position based on a 45-hour workweek
- Reports to the Operations Manager
- Typical schedule: MondayFriday with occasional evening or weekend shifts as needed
