Position Overview
Cincinnati Public Schools is seeking applicants for the positionofPupil Transportation Operations Coordinator.This position reports to the Director of Pupil Transportation. The Operations Coordinator is responsible for the day to day delivery of transportation services for students as well as monitoring the quality of service provided by various vendors.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise staff in daily communications with parents school administrators and bus company managers concerning student eligibility for transportation services service related issues and complaints.
- Coordinate services provided by vendors in compliance with contracts and state laws.
- Coordinate district compliance with State and Federal pupil transportation rules and regulations and Board of Education policies.
- Administer and monitor service contracts and compliance and initiates corrective action.
- Monitor expenditures related to contract awards and budget.
- Coordinate and implement efficient transportation routing and scheduling plans.
- Monitor day-to-day service issues.
- Communicate with school administrators and parents concerning Board policies service concerns and student behavior while being transported.
- Communicate with bus company management staff in regard to efficiency service and student discipline.
- Respond to emergency situations and matters of concern regarding transportation issues.
- Meet deadlines for reports and analysis.
- Work directly with school principals and administrative staff to plan and design procedures and reporting methods for complying with rules and regulations.
- Assign and monitor staff work assignments.
- Represent the District on various school transportation advisory committees.
- Conduct and participate in staff meetings training and in-service programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent experience in pupil transportation.
- Minimum of five years experience in pupil transportation or related field is required.
- Experience with Ohio pupil transportation laws and regulations.
- Experience using Versatrans RP Edulog NT or another Computerized Routing and Scheduling system desirable.
- Computer skills necessary to use State reporting system.
Employment Provisions
Employment Provisions: Type Contract:Limited 260 days
Salary Range:Associate II Per CAAS Agreement
