Job Description:
This position is responsible for maintaining optimum inventory levels in various product locations to meet fluctuations in demand and ensuring rotation of products and expiration dates are checked for patient safety. .Locations includes central distribution services (CDS) surgical support center (SSC) and cardiovascular lab (CVL). . Interacts on a frequent basis with vendor representatives customers and contract managers concerning product sourcing and inventory decision making. Creates a strong relationship with the customer and vendor and becomes the liaison for communication with management and contract team relative to issues that require further investigation.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma is required.
Ability to work in Excel & Word required
At least 2 years experience in inventory management and use of computerized systems preferably Lawson.
Excellent organizational skills necessary.
Culturally appropriate communications a must.
Ability to work in patient care areas including nursing floors clinics operating room and cardiovascular environment.
Working knowledge of medical terminology.
If the employee is required to lift more than 50 lbs. the employer requires co-worker and/or mechanical assistance (frequently is defined as 34-66% of the time; continuous is defined as 67-100% of the time)
Must be able to tolerate continuous periods of standing and walking. Must tolerate frequent periods of climbing balancing stooping crouching crawling and kneeling.
