Summary
Colliflower Incs Hose-Fast location has an immediate opening for a Cylinder Mechanic. The Cylinder Mechanic will diagnose repair and refurbish hydraulic cylinders and associated assemblies ensuring they operate at peak efficiency. This position will be required to assist in the loading and unloading of trucks painting moving parts through the facility and assist in final quality inspections. Must be proficient in teardown assembly hone operation of hydraulic cylinders and associated assemblies. Three years of experience required. Must be able to work with minimal supervision.Compensation

Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Support daily operations- Diagnoses and troubleshoot issues in hydraulic cylinders.
- Use precision measuring tools to verify specifications and tolerances.
- Safely disassembling complex hydraulic components recognizing signs of wear and properly documenting part condition.
- Precisely reassembling cylinders including the proper seating of seals bearings and pistons often requiring careful torque specifications.
- Perform repairs and replacements of damaged parts including seals rods and pistons.
- Operating a specialized machine (cylinder hone) to precisely finish the inner surface of the cylinder tube. This is critical for achieving the correct surface finish (cross-hatch pattern) for proper seal life and minimal fluid bypass.
- Reassemble cylinders and ensure proper alignment and functionality.
- Test repaired cylinders for leaks and performance ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain detailed records of repair work parts used and service dates.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks painting and moving parts through the facility
Maintain a safe and organized work environment- Stage components to proper areas
- Maintain good housekeeping clean and prepare work areas and equipment for repair tasks.
- Maintain clean and orderly working environment throughout the work area
- Maintain operation and maintenance of all equipment and tools in assigned area
Provide excellent service- Provide recommendations for improving cylinder performance and longevity.
- Stay updated with the latest repair techniques and equipment advancements.
- Collaborate with team members and managers to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications and Skills- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Certification in hydraulics or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in hydraulic cylinder repair.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to operate forklift and cranes
- Ability to use hand tools and specialized repair equipment.
- Experience with disassembly inspection and reassembly of hydraulic cylinders.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
- Basic welding and fabrication skills.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a workshop environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality control.
- Good communication skills for reporting and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
Physical Requirements- Required to stand use hands to finger handle feel walk reach with hands and arms stoop kneel and crouch.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (8 hours).
Work Environment- Work performed in a workshop/warehouse environment.
- Exposed to moving mechanical parts and saws machining oils warehouse temperature fluctuations and arc light from welding.
- Noise level can occasionally be loud due to different machinery being operated (i.e.: forklifts hand tools and other machines).
- This position cannot be performed remotely.
