Description: The University of North Alabama invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in the Department of Chemistry and Physics beginning in August 2026. Salary will be commensurate with degree rank and experience. The University is a fully-accredited comprehensive regional university and the department offers an ACS-certified chemistry major. Essential Job Duties: Teaching duties will include quantitative analysis chemical instrumentation and general or introductory chemistry. The successful candidate must demonstrate a dedication to excellence in teaching a proficiency in the use and maintenance of a variety of analytical instruments and a commitment to research that is appropriate for an undergraduate department. Participation in service to the university and student advisement are also expected.
Minimum Qualifications: Successful candidates must have a PhD in chemistry. Candidates who are ABD will also be considered provided the doctoral degree requirements are met by the time of the appointment.
