Music Teacher Barking & Dagenham

QTS IS REQUIRED!

We are seeking an enthusiastic Music Teacher to join an Ofsted Outstanding secondary school and sixth form in Barking & Dagenham known for its excellent behaviour management and easy transport links. Key responsibilities for the Music Teacher:

Lead engaging and creative music lessons across KS3 to KS5
Work collaboratively within a small dedicated 4-person music department
Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
Support the progress and attainment of all pupils in music
Confidently teach and support students with SEND
Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress
Bring a proactive and flexible approach to lesson planning and delivery
Contribute to school performances concerts and extra-curricular activities
Help shape the future of the department as a Music Teacher

1:1 Music degree from a top 20 UK university
QTS with experience or confidence leading music lessons
Strong classroom management skills particularly with behaviour
Creative and adaptable teaching approach
A team player with excellent communication and organisational skills
