Job Summary
Summary:The purpose of this position is to support the departments ability to achieve its goals and objectives. This includes the safe and efficient operation of NC/CNC Grind equipment allowing for the achievement of customer expectations for quality and on-time delivery. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Essential Duties: The following are the normal duties performed by this position. Other duties may be assigned.
appropriate cylindrical surface and creep feed grinding equipment and other machinery as necessary to produce the required number of correct parts in a timely manner according to process documentation. This can include operating multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously.
setup jobs in assigned equipment in a timely manner.
1st piece in-process and last piece inspection using micrometers calipers comparators various gauges and CMM equipment according to process documentation.
data collection and communication tasks in Job Boss and other applications.
operator maintenance.
and correct equipment or tool issues.
de-burr or rework of work in-process.
recommendations to optimize and improve assigned processes.
work station to 5S standards.
all work according to PAC safety standards.
with all PAC policy and procedures.
Qualifications :
record of employment success. Successful essential duty related experience; including set-up and operation of cylindrical surface and creep feed grind production machinery.
to use common measuring equipment such as micrometers calipers gauges (pin thread indicator height) optical comparators and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
school diploma or equivalent. Completion of trade school training classes or program preferred.
GD&T and Blueprint reading skills.
Windows and MS Office skills.
to perform shop math functions.
