For Linklaters Service Delivery Centre Warsaw we are currently recruiting for the Internal Auditor.
About the team
You will join a collaborative and globally diverse Finance team dedicated to safeguarding Linklaters financial health and enabling informed decision-making. The team provides critical financial expertise across budgeting forecasting reporting compliance and strategic planning supporting the firms growth and stability. You will work closely with colleagues both locally and internationally benefiting from a culture that values teamwork integrity and ongoing development. This role offers broad exposure professional growth and the chance to make a meaningful impact on the firm.
As Internal Auditor you will perform high quality reviews of the firms control environment including the operational effectiveness of global policies and procedures. Your work will focus on assurance over the firms financial and operational processes identifying risks sharing best practice and recommending solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders across the Firms global offices and coordinate with external auditors to ensure effective risk management and process improvement.
Your role will include:
Planning organising and monitoring internal audit operations in accordance with the annual audit plan.
Evaluating the effectiveness of financial and operational processes controls and risk mitigation strategies.
Delivering audit procedures by identifying and defining issues developing criteria analysing evidence and documenting findings.
Using data analytics and visualisation tools (such as Tableau) to test controls identify risks and support audit conclusions.
Ensuring compliance with legal professional and firm-specific standards including Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) accounts rules.
Preparing clear audit reports and presentations for senior management and the Risk Committee.
Providing practical recommendations to mitigate risk strengthen controls and enhance efficiency.
Tracking management responses to audit actions and ensuring timely resolution.
Conducting ad hoc investigations into identified or reported risks and potential fraud.
Supporting process improvement and the development of new internal audit procedures.
Liaising with external auditors during SRA audits.
Apply if you:
Offer 2 to 3 years of experience in audit and risk management ideally within professional services or the legal sector
Have strong knowledge of audit processes risks and controls
Are proficient in using data analytics tools (e.g. Tableau) for audit and reporting
Communicate fluently in English and confidently engage with stakeholders at all organizational levels
Have strong analytical critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Proven ability to drive process improvements
Demonstrate a client-centric approach and a drive for measurable results
Are open to business travel several times a year.
