Job Summary
Role Title: Shipping Clerk
Location: Peterborough
Contract: Full Time Temporary - 6 month Fixed Term Contract
Role purpose
- Manage the transportation of banknote shipments to / from our UK vault to / from our customers worldwide utilising armoured transportation and secured airfreight.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers such as airlines and security carriers to ensure optimal service in terms of timeliness security and cost.
Key accountabilities
- Ensuring banknote shipments moved in timely fashion in keeping with customer service levels.
- Ensuring shipments are fully costed and moved using the most cost effective solution.
- Ensuring consignments moved within security risk profiles.
- Validation / processing of supplier invoices.
Role-specific experience and skills
- Knowledge of wholesale banknotes business.
- Knowledge of cash in transit / logistics industry.
- Able to communicate to senior level internally and externally writing written and verbal.
- Able to plan and prioritise own workload.
- Excellent numeracy skills / accuracy.
- Good PC / MS Office literacy MS Excel competency.
