Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking an entry level Environmental Engineer for employment within our Environmental Remediation Practices group in our Houston Texas office to support soil and groundwater investigations and remediation projects. The ideal candidate will be willing and able to learn new skills and methods on challenging field and office assignments in a collaborative team environment.
This position is expected to begin in November 2025.
Tasks will include:
- Conducting environmental field work including collecting soil groundwater and remediation system data groundwater sampling fluid level gauging and oversight of subcontractors.
- Producing accurate and complete documentation of operation inspections and compliance.
- Preparing field documents and collecting processing and interpreting field data.
- Supporting office tasks including data analysis and report preparation.
- Interpreting and recording data conducting analyses comparing findings to relevant studies and local state and federal regulations to ensure compliance
- Traveling to project locations including driving and overnight stays.
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Environmental/Civil/Geological/Chemical Engineering.
- Valid U.S. Drivers License required to visit project sites clients and other AECOM offices.
- As a condition of employment selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review and a substance abuse test.
Preferred Qualifications
- HAZWOPER 40-Hour Training.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word PowerPoint Excel).
- Proficient with AutoCAD.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to Health and Safety.
- Knowledge of environmental sampling practices.
Additional Information :
- Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
- Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
- Candidate will submit to medical surveillance screening upon hire.
- Travel up to 50% may be required for this position.
- This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes office work in Houston Texas. The selected candidate must be available to work in Houston Texas on a scheduled basis.
