Deputy Logistics Team Leader

Working hours are variable working between 8am - 7pm Monday - Saturday.

As a Deputy Logistics Team Lead you will support the logistics operations of Eurofins Environment Testing Ireland. This role combines field technician responsibilities with planning and leadership duties ensuring customer service excellence operational efficiency and team support. 

• Collect environmental samples (e.g. lakes rivers manholes composite samplers) in a timely and professional manner.
• Ensure all samples are correctly labeled stored and maintained under required temperature conditions during transit.
• Deliver samples to the laboratory with accurate and complete documentation.
• Plan daily routes for efficient travel and timely delivery.
• Maintain company vehicle in good condition and report any issues promptly.
• Drive safely and in compliance with legal requirements.
• Planning and Leadership Duties:
• Assist the Logistics Team Lead with scheduling and route planning for the team.
• Monitor the logistics shared mailbox and respond to customer queries professionally.
• Forward relevant customer information to internal teams.
• Monitor logistics KPIs and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Train and coach Field Technicians on logistics best practices.
• Attend management meetings and represent the logistics team when required.
• Complete risk assessments and ensure documented training is in place for safe operations.
• Support customer service excellence by addressing queries and resolving issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with e-learning deadlines.

Qualifications :

• Full clean driving license (no previous endorsements preferred).
• Previous experience in planning and running B2B logistics.
• Experience in environmental sampling and field operations.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• People management experience is desirable.
