The Role
Were looking for an Employee Relations Advisor to join our People team at our busy Warrington site. Reporting to the Site People Partner this is a key role providing day-to-day support for managers and leaders on employee relations matters coaching and guiding them through challenges and ensuring consistent and timely advice.
This site-based role offers the opportunity to work on a range of ER topics and change projects. Youll play a part in shaping policy driving engagement and supporting organisational change all while helping to maintain compliance with employment law and internal best practice.
This is a full-time permanent position based at our Omega South site. We offer flexibility in working patterns and encourage a discussion about what could work best for you - including occasional early morning or twilight hours.
What Youll Do
- Coach and train line managers on policies and procedures to promote confident independent handling of people matters
- Support in the development and ongoing improvement of people policies in collaboration with the broader GTO team
- Provide challenge and support to ensure fair and consistent application of policies
- Monitor and assess contract provisions (e.g. shift patterns time & attendance) to ensure they are future-fit
- Build trusted partnerships with site stakeholders to respond to ER matters promptly and professionally
- Support and guide line managers on attendance wellbeing and Occupational Health processes including data tracking and insights
- Advise and guide on live ER case management including investigations disciplinaries grievances absence appeals and early conciliation
- Promote an ER ownership mindset across leadership empowering confident and informed decision-making
- Actively participate in the sites Employee Forum to encourage open dialogue and action tracking
- Recommend and implement process improvements across the ER remit
Who You Are
- Strong knowledge of employment law and a passion for keeping your expertise current
- Confident communicator with the ability to translate complex ideas clearly and pragmatically
- Skilled at building trusted credible relationships at all levels
- A self-starter who is proactive resilient and focused on creating great employee experiences
- Comfortable working with HR systems and drawing insights from people data to support actions
- Experienced in managing a range of ER cases with a practical solutions-focused approach
- Familiar with fast-paced environments such as FMCG retail logistics or ecommerce
