Were looking for a Senior Reconciliation Specialist to join our team in Tallinn. This role is a unique opportunity to have an impact on Wises mission being a part of our international Operations team and helping save millions of people money.
Your mission:
Wise has already pioneered new ways for people to transfer money across borders and currencies. Our customers can also manage their hard-earned money with the worlds first platform to offer true multi-currency banking.
Heres how youll be contributing to the Reconciliation team:
- Performing and maintaining high level execution of reconciliation related tasks
- Reconciliation of bank accounts
- Payments and transactions reconciliation
- Compensations reconciliation
- Audit coordination
- Other types of Payment Operations related reconciliation items
- Investigating resolving (or where needed notifying Payments or Technical team about the need to resolve) and escalating reconciliation discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Working closely with Payments teams and ensuring the correct processing of customer payments
- Performing month-end close activities and reporting to Finance
- Supporting building of reconciliation tooling and contributing towards making improvements to reconciliation flows and processes together with relevant Product and Engineering teams

Qualifications :
- You have the right to work in Estonia.
- You have excellent written and verbal English skills.
- You have basic excel skills and you are a fast learner.
- Youre accurate and pay attention to details. You enjoy owning your work and taking charge on projects when needed.
- Youre a clear and honest communicator persuasive and adaptive to different audiences.
- You are great working in an autonomous set up whilst being a part of the team and validate your own work when needed.
- Youre comfortable with feedback and being part of a team where ideas are shared and openness is valued
- Youre proactive and a great relationship builder.
- You are flexible with your work hours. We aim to help our global customers any time they need it occasionally during weekends and holidays.
Some extra skills that would be great:
- You have relevant experience working in operations/reconciliation and have an interest for investigation of discrepancies.
- Youve been a part of or have led cross functional projects that drive efficiency and scaling of manual work.
- You know how to use data to prioritise tasks that have the most impact.
- You have proficiency in either (or both) Portuguese or Spanish.
