Job Summary
Macquarie Geotechnical is a Geotechnical Consulting / Drilling & Construction Materials Testing company working on road rail and mining infrastructure projects throughout Australia. We maintain a fleet of modern drill rigs support equipment and tools that are at the forefront of the industry.
We are currently seeking Geotechnical Engineers and Engineering Geologists with 2-4 years experience to join our team.
Responsibilities include:
- Undertaking geotechnical investigations consisting of drilling rig supervision and undertaking test pitting.
- Geotechnical inspections consisting of proof roll stripping and pile inspections.
- Assisting with geophysical investigations includes seismic refraction magnetic surveys electrical resistivity downhole imagery ATV/ OTV.
- Communicating and liaising effectively with colleagues subcontractor sub-consultants and clients.
- Preparation of factual reports.
To be successful for the position youmust have the following experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering/ Engineering Geology.
- Knowledge and experience using gINT and Holebase.
- Understanding of AS1726 requirements.
- Minimum 2 years site investigation experience.
- Ability to work within a team environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Numerical analytical and observation skills.
- Ability to problem solve.
- An interest in developing both technical and project management skills
- A current NSW drivers licence.
