NIS is seeking an experiencedSenior Software AG Engineerto support a federal program in Lakewood CO. The successful candidate will serve as a subject-matter expert in Software AG products and will be responsible for architecting administering and optimizing enterprise database solutions that support mission-critical applications for our government clients.
This role is hybrid offering the flexibility of remote work with occasional onsite support required in Lakewood CO.Key Responsibilities

- Perform comprehensive database administration and architect duties across Software AG environments.
- Design implement and maintain robust scalable and secure database solutions.
- Develop and support Natural applications through performance tuning troubleshooting and lifecycle maintenance.
- Collaborate closely with development infrastructure and cybersecurity teams to integrate database solutions into enterprise systems.
- Establish and maintain database standards documentation and best practices.
- Monitor system performance and proactive implement improvements.
- Support compliance with federal security data integrity and availability requirements.
- Bachelors degree in a technical field (Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or related discipline).
- Minimum10 years of hands-on experienceworking withSoftware AGtechnologies.
- Proficiency and expertise demonstrated with:
- ADABAS database administration design and optimization
- Natural programming maintenance and integration
- Strong background in database architecture troubleshooting and performance tuning.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working on cross-functional teams.
- U.S. citizenship required due to government contract requirements.
- Must be able to obtain and maintainDoI Suitability.
- Experience supporting federal agencies or large-scale government IT programs.
- Familiarity with modernization efforts and integration with newer platforms and services.
- Knowledge of federal security and compliance frameworks (e.g. FISMA NIST).
