Job Summary
Position Summary
Viwinco Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated IT Technician to support and enhance our IT infrastructure. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless technology operations across both our plant floor and office environments. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise proactive problem-solving and the ability to contribute to projects that support Viwincos commitment to innovation and operational excellence.
Primary Responsibilities
Maintain troubleshoot and repair computer and network equipment in a fast-paced production environment (servers workstations switches radios phones cameras access control devices printers power supplies monitors etc.).
Provide operations and systems support to company personnel.
Install configure and update software and firmware on computer equipment.
Manage turnover of obsolete or discontinued computer equipment.
Monitor for network errors malware and potential security issues.
Support data backup business continuity and disaster recovery efforts.
Respond to support requests via phone email and ticketing system in a timely and professional manner.
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong logical and creative problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Experience with network infrastructure design and implementation.
Proficiency with server operating systems (Linux Unix Windows VMware).
Experience with network firewalls (Watchguard and Meraki preferred).
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Ability to safely operate power and hand tools.
Ability to safely climb ladders and work in elevated/high locations.
Positive attitude sense of humor and calm demeanor under pressure.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Self-starter with good time management skills.
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Respect for and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Associates degree or equivalent technical certification required; relevant work experience will be considered.
